Alma Marie Beers, age 80, passed away January 15, 2017 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Minster, Ohio.
She was born on February 1, 1936 in Bloomington, Indiana to the late Nias and Gertrude Marie (Pettit) Altop. On July 7, 1954, she married Robert A. Beers and he preceded her in death July 6, 2007.
Alma is survived by children; Sherry Schroer of Sidney, Steven and Connie Beers of Sidney, Robert J. and Sandra K. Beers of Jackson Center, five grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, brothers; William and Marian Altop of Ellettsville, Indiana, Ron and Patricia Scott of Bloomington, Indiana and Lee and Nancy Musgrave of Bloomington, Indiana.
Alma attended the Mt. Tabor Church of God in Bellefontaine for many years. She retired from Copeland Corporation in Sidney. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, attending yard sales, playing bingo and doing arts and crafts.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Shelby Memory Gardens in Hardin with Pastor Terry Sharp officiating. There will be no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to State of Heart Hospice in Coldwater, Ohio.
