William L. Sherman

William L. Sherman, age 74, of Sidney, passed away peacefully July 23, 2017, at Upper Valley Medical Center Hospice of Miami County, Troy.

He was born November 12, 1942 in Sidney, Ohio, to the late Bernard and Mildred (Wise) Sherman. He was married to Mary E. Sherman and she survives in Sidney.

William is survived by children; Mary and (Randy) Kill of Wapakoneta, Brenda Sherman of Piqua, Kathy and (Frank) Seigel of Lexington, SC., William and (Diane) Sherman of Troy, Joseph and (Lynn) Sherman of Piqua, step-children; Tim Schloss of Sidney, Randy and (Denise) Schloss of  Lenoir City, TN., Brenda and (Ron) Jones of Sidney, Susan and Richard Conley of Troy, 15 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren.  Also survived by siblings; Mary Young of Sidney, Edna Bubeck of Piqua, John Sherman of Piqua, JoAnn and Clyde Jenkins of Sidney, 13 nieces and nephews.

William was preceded in death by brother, Joe Sherman, sister, Margret Price and step-daughter, Lynn Massie.

William was a member of the World Mission Christ Church of Sidney. He retired from Airstream Corporation in Jackson Center, after many years of service.  He loved to play all types of card games and listening to traditional country music. He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Friends and family may call on Saturday, July 29, 2017 from 8:30 to 10.00 a.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney.  Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Kris Bowyer, officiating.  Internment will follow at Shelby Memory Gardens, Hardin.
