Sally Ann Christy, age 70, of Piqua, passed away on Monday, June 12, 2017 at Hospice of Miami County Inpatient Unit in Troy. She was born in Piqua on June 3, 1947 to the late Jack Lawrence and Thelma Irene (Henderson) Battson. She married William H. “Butch" Christy and he preceded her in death.
Sally is survived by her nieces and nephews: Christopher and Shonda Snead of Phenix, City, AL, Aaron and Angela Majors, Plant City, FL and Brian Battson of South Carolina. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother: James Lee Battson.
Sally loved to fish, loved the outdoors, and spend time with family. Her dogs were her life. Sally was a member of Moose Lodge in Piqua. She was an operator at Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy for 20 years.
Private services will be held by the family at a later date. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in Piqua. Arrangements are being handled by Adams Funeral Home in Sidney. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.theadamsfuneralhome.com.
