Rose Evelyn Louise Mullen, age 85, of Botkins, passed away on May 31, 2017 at Lima Memorial Hospital, Lima.

She was born on October 6, 1931 in Shelby County to the late Fred L. and Eileen (Valentine) Bodenmiller. On November 11, 1950 she married Carlton William Mullen who preceded her in death on August 30, 1984.

Rose is survived by children; Sharon and (Bob) Meyer of Botkins, Gary and (Beth) Mullen of Sidney, brothers; Fred and (Evelyn) Bodenmiller of Jackson Center, Don and (Carolyn) Bodenmiller of Port Jefferson, sisters; Maxine Bowden of Sidney, Joann Free of Botkins, Frances Fridley of Anna, sister-in-laws; Cleta Tennery of Piqua, Marcella Bodenmiller of Jackson Center, grand children; Josh and (Jessica) Meyer, Melissa Meyer, Tricia and (Travis) Dietz, William (DJ) Day III, and great grandchildren; Jace and Cale Meyer, Carlie, Adelynn, and Keegan Dietz.

She was preceded in death by son, Ron Mullen, great grand- daughter, Carolina (Cara) Meyer, brothers; Dick Bodenmiller, Bob Bodenmiller, Tom Bodenmiller, sisters; Geri Brown, Mary Rickey, half-brother, Kenneth Bodenmiller, half-sisters; Florence Yohey, Helen Ingersol, brother-in-laws; Gene Bowden, Russ Free, Charles Fridley, Cecil Brown, Orville Rickey, and sister-in-law; Betty Bodenmiller.  

Rose was of the Methodist faith.  She was employed as Village Clerk of Jackson Center for many years.  She was a 1949 graduate of Pemberton High School.  Rose was an avid Cincinnati Reds fan, she loved bowling, sewing, crocheting, and cooking.  She especially liked making chocolate chip cookies and going to see the Midget car races.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 5, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney, with Pastor Randy Locker officiating.  Burial will follow at Cedar Point Cemetery, Pasco.

Family and friends may visit on Sunday, June 4, 2017 from 1 – 4 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Botkins Police Dept. or Anna Rescue Squad or the Carolina Meyer Scholarship Fund in Rosie’s memory.
