Clarence E. Stephens, age 80, passed away Monday February 26, 2018 at Upper Valley Medical Center.
He was born July 11, 1937 in Pruden, Tennessee. He is preceded in death by father Tom Stephens, mother Lucy (Barry) Stephens, son Kevin Stephens, brothers Charles, Bill, Lloyd and Floyd Stephens, and sister Edith Stephens.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Janice Carol (New) Stephens, son Clarence (Sandy) Stephens II, daughter-in-law Melissa Stephens, sisters Idella Leach and Rosa King of Dayton, five grandchildren, Jennifer, Roy, David, Lindsey, and Clinton Stephens, and seven great grandchildren, Bera, Adler, Tatum, Addilynn, Cassius, Kynzliy, and Zoie Stephens.
He worked at Leroi Dresser for 39 years before retiring in 2002. He was a United States Army veteran during the Cuban Missile Crisis and member of the Sidney American Legion Post 217.
Friends may call Thursday March 1, 2018 from 5 P.M – 8 P.M. at Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney. Full military honors will be provided by the Sidney American Legion Post 217. Services will be officiated by Pastor Mike Watson on Friday, March 2, 2018 at 10 A.M. at Adams Funeral Home with interment at Shelby Memory Gardens.
